Online therapy for high-achieving women navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and self-doubt

You loved knowing exactly where you stood, a grade, a finished checklist, a routine that made sense. Adulthood doesn't hand out report cards, and without that external marker of "doing it right," your mind fills in the gap with constant self-monitoring instead. Therapy can help you feel calmer, more confident, and more grounded in your choices.

Mental wellness starts at home

Mental wellness starts at home

Hi, I’m Kylie!

I'm a licensed therapist with over 10 years of experience helping women manage high-functioning anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing, the kind where you're saying yes at work and then venting about it in the car on the way home.

I offer online therapy in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Most of the women I work with hold themselves to a high standard, at work, with friends, with family, and then turn around and give themselves none of the same compassion when they fall short of it.

If you're the friend who gives great advice but can't take your own, the one replaying a text you sent three hours ago, or the one who says "it's fine" when it isn't, this is the kind of work I do. We work on the inner critic, the people-pleasing, and the habit of second-guessing yourself out of decisions you already made.

I'm also child-free by choice, and I bring that same understanding to anyone navigating a life that doesn't look like everyone else's, whether that's about kids, career, or something else entirely.

My goal is simple: help you stress less, trust yourself more, and build a life that actually feels like yours.

therapy for millennial women

If you’ve ever laughed at a meme about being a perfectionist, people-pleaser, or carrying way too much family baggage, you’re in the right place. My clients are ambitious Millennial and Gen Z women who want to feel calmer, more confident, and free to live life on their own terms, without everyone else’s expectations weighing them down.

Who I work with

  • Your brain is stuck in anxiety & people-pleasing mode, you say "it's fine" and mean the opposite, even though you look like you've got it all together.

  • Family gatherings = you rehearsing boundary scripts in your head before you walk in the door.

  • You’re tired of running on the perfectionism hamster wheel and secretly crave more peace and self-trust.

  • You’d love the ease of online therapy in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida, where you can show up in your cozy clothes and not have to explain yourself.

  • You’re child-free by choice (or still deciding) and are so over the “you’ll change your mind” comments.

I came to Kylie in summer 2019 with an acute need: I was struggling with substance use disorder, and its harmful effects on my work, family, and friends. She was recommended to me by an old family friend; and they were spot-on. Not only have I been sober for 4.5 years (and counting!), but my work with Kylie has helped me meet my (now) wife, grow in responsibility at my job, and have more meaningful relationships with my friends & family. Kylie has taught me to find & embrace our common humanity; to center & calm myself with what I know rather than what my brain is catastrophizing might happen; and to set boundaries with people not to keep them away but to bring them closer in a more sustainable way. I really can't recommend Kylie enough. She is a kind-hearted, honest, and present therapist. She will meet you where you're at, and then walk alongside you every step of your journey.

  • Testimonials

I have worked with a couple of great therapists over the years, but Kylie is by far the best therapist I have worked with. Kylie has helped me navigate interpersonal relationships, my mother’s illness, trust issues, and professional growth over the last seven years. She is compassionate, easy to talk to, and provides excellent insight when facing tough challenges, and I trust her implicitly. When life is going well, I still keep my appointments with Kylie because I know how valuable our time is together. Thank you, Kylie, you are the best!

  • Testimonials

Kylie (and Kylie Lambert Counseling) has been an integral part of my life since 2018. I found her after realizing I was suffering from high social anxiety in the years post-college and desperately needed a reliable therapist. In the last 7 years, she's helped me work through anxiety in my relationships, career, social events, self-esteem, family dynamics, major life changes/milestones, and so much more. She continues to be such a positive constant in my life and her approach to therapy is very compassionate, non-judgmental, and educational/insightful when I need it the most. Working with and getting to know Kylie has been such an incredible gift and the growth I see in myself is due, in large part, to the confidence and strategies she instills in me. I cannot speak highly enough of Kylie Lambert and Kylie Lambert Counseling!

Kylie has been an integral part of my self-love journey. Her knowledge in self-compassion work is impressive and impactful. While working with Kylie, I was able to transform how I talked to myself and truly silence my inner mean girl using tools and strategies she taught me. Kylie also supported me at my lowest point and helped me process and recover from a really difficult time in my life. She is also extremely kind and the best listener making the process of building a therapeutic relationship a breeze. Her positive social media presence is also infectious making it feel like she’s there for you even outside of therapy. I highly recommend working with Kylie!

Some weeks, therapy can look like untangling a conversation that's been looping in your head. Other weeks it's just having someone in your corner. Whether you're looking for less anxiety, stronger boundaries, or more self-trust, and yes, that includes navigating a child-free life, I'm here to walk alongside you.

I’d love to connect with you and hear your story!
